COVID-19: A Note From Our Editors
This week we asked you, the Glamour readers, what kind of content you'd like to see from us in the coming days, weeks, perhaps even months as the world reckons with the effects of a once-in-a-generation pandemic, COVID-19 (coronavirus). The responses we got on Twitter and Instagram were mixed—some people asked for service stories about how to handle working from home indefinitely, about whether their finances will be affected in a lasting way, and about how to stay calm in a world that's already been irrevocably changed. Others asked for "anything but corona" content because, well, it's a lot.
So, we pledge to deliver on both fronts. From here on out, expect a daily mix of stories that discerningly address the COVID-19 concerns we're all facing with an eye to science. No false information, no fear mongering. We'll deliver personal narratives from real women navigating their new normals, whether she's a beauty-industry service worker trying to figure out if her job is on the line or a first responder fighting to get coronavirus tests for at-risk people in her community.
We'll also be continuing the content you come to Glamour for in the best of times—daily pop culture updates, royals news, memes that'll make you laugh, the best books to read and shows to watch, beauty tips to look and feel your best, great stuff to buy online, and crucial intel on the runup to the 2020 election.
The unifying thread: optimism. All our stories will be infused with the signature positivity Glamour has been known for for over 80 years and counting. Stay safe, stay calm, and remember we're all in this together. And please keep telling us the types of stories, videos, social media content, and audio series you want from us. We're listening.
Here are today's top stories.
